The 1 Carat Ring

Welcome to the inaugural post of the 1 Carat Ring.  My purpose in this blog is threefold. 

First and foremost is Education.  On one of the pages of the Web site of Designs By Indigo Antwerp Diamond Jewellery the following statement appears, “A fine quality diamond that is 1 carat or more is the most coveted for engagement rings.”  This perception is the reason for our domain name.  However, in reality, selecting the size of the gemstone often is not that straightforward.  Even apart from your budget, the size is influenced by the design of the ring, the shape and arrangement of the setting, and even the size of the wearer’s finger!  Much of the content of this blog will discuss these factors.

The second objective is to provide pointers to Resources.  This will include not only literature that will help you make your choice (see the suggestion to the right), but also alerts and links to current sales, bargains, and deals from online sources!

The third goal is just Fun.  We will provide heartwarming, romantic, and funny stories of couples in love, along with practical jewelry-related tips and suggestions for the path to the altar and beyond.
